Those who play Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation 5 and eventually PlayStation 4 when it releases in April, have the benefit of an extra “Haunted Hogsmeade” quest known as “Minding Your Own Business” – exclusive to those platforms for at least a year. This quest is notable because it’s not just some minor fetch mission and requires certain conditions to be able to access it after a certain level of progression in the main scenario.

What Is The Minding Your Own Business Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy?

The quest “Minding Your Own Business” quest starts off innocently enough. You’re tasked with the prospect of retail ownership after meeting up with a house elf named Penny in the southern area of Hogsmeade. She’ll then send you to meet with her owner, Cassandra Mason, who is offering to sell you this mysterious shop for the low, low price of just 1500 gold. Pay the gold should you choose and all she asks is that you open a chest located at the back of the shop to retrieve some items for you. Innocent enough right? Right.

Upon opening the chest, you soon discover that things aren’t quite what they seem. It leads down into a dark cellar and there you become trapped in a game of madness and terrifying twists and turns. This quest certainly isn’t for the faint of heart so it's better to go in unspoiled for the full experience.

In any case, in order to unlock “Minding Your Own Business,” you must first satisfy the main scenario quests through "In the Shadow of the Mine" following not long after the second Keeper, Charles Rookwood’s trial. Once you do that, “Minding Your Own Business” should show up as an inconspicuous side quest marker in the southern, middle part of Hogsmeade.

Why Should You Do The Minding Your Own Business Quest?

It’s simple really: this quest is wholly unique. As advertised, it’s a haunted house experience of sorts with some legitimate jump scares, spooky mannequins and rooms that shift around while you’re in them. There’s a full on dungeon too along with a main boss encounter and a follow-up boss towards the end of the quest. You’ll spend about an hour in here solving puzzles and getting through the maze. The rewards for doing so are nice too: exclusive outfits called the Shopkeeper’s Cosmetic Set, and your very own shop in Hogsmeade – which you can customize to an extent and use as your very own reselling point.

All in all it’s a worthwhile use of your time in Hogwarts Legacy, you just have to work a little ways into the game to actually get there.
