Stunlock Studios has announced the official V Rising 1.0 release date, and it's landing later this spring for PC. Unfortunately, however, you'll have to wait a little longer for the game to arrive on PS5.
V Rising will be released on May 8th on PC via Steam. No official release date was revealed for PS5; the game is coming to Sony's console sometime this year, but we don't know when yet.
The release date was announced earlier today via a brand new trailer (thanks, IGN), which features some pretty creepy and imposing animation. The trailer concludes with none other than Dracula introducing himself, which feels like a pretty appropriate ending.

V Rising was originally announced all the way back in May 2021, launching on PC via Steam Early Access the following year.
It didn't take long for the game to catch on; within its first week, V Rising managed to cross the million sales mark, passing 2.5 million sales in August 2022 and 3 million the following January.
Since its release, the game has received a number of updates, and developer Stunlock Studios has been conscientious in keeping its community apprised of what's going on behind the scenes through regular developer diaries.
In one of these diaries, released back in September 2023, Stunlock detailed what players could expect from the 1.0 release of V Rising, so it's worth refreshing your memory ahead of this May to find out what's in store for you.

If you haven't played V Rising yet, it's an open-world survival game in which you play as a vampire. You must establish your vampiric domain, sally forth into the lands around your castle to find food, and do battle with other vampires for supremacy.
The game is available right now on Steam via Early Access, and you've still got a good few weeks to make a name for yourself in the game's hostile open world before full release. If you're planning on doing so, make sure to check out our V Rising guides to make the most out of your undeath.
