Stunlock Studios has announced that V Rising sales have hit yet another major milestone. The figure is particularly impressive given that the game is currently only available on PC via Steam, and it's an Early Access title with a while to go until its 1.0 release as well.
Speaking on Twitter, Stunlock revealed that its bloodsucking open-world survival sim has crossed 3 million sales. The studio bids its player base to "arise in all your wicked glory" and welcomes its "new kin", while also sharing an image thanking the 3 million people who've picked the game up on Steam.
V Rising's ascent has been positively meteoric; there's been no slow exit from the coffin for this one. The game was released into Early Access in May 2022, and within a week of its release it had clocked up a million sales, reaching 2.5 million just a few months later in August. It's fair to say that V Rising has found an audience, and with around 3,000 to 3,700 concurrent players each day (according to SteamDB), much of the player base is sticking around as well.
So, what's next for V Rising? Back in June, developer Stunlock shared some information regarding what V Rising 1.0 will look like when it eventually launches. You can look forward to more weapons, more loot, and more magic, as well as more lands to explore and plenty of other improvements. There's no timeline for when we can expect the full launch of the game just yet, but updates continue to trickle through for V Rising, including seasonal Halloween events and more.
