Stunlock Studios has announced that V Rising sales have crossed the 2.5 million threshold (presumably after being invited to do so). This is just the beginning for the vampiric survival game, though, as the devs are promising more updates and pledging to reveal more soon.

Where are V Rising sales at right now?

We may not quite be at V Rising 1.0 yet, but players are still checking out Stunlock Studios' vampire game in their droves. Back in May, the devs announced that V Rising sales had reached a million, and now, just a few months after that milestone, another major threshold has been crossed. V Rising has now sold 2.5 million copies, according to Stunlock, which is impressive given that the game is only available on one platform (and in Early Access, no less).

2.5 million V Rising players can't be wrong, eh?

Of course, this is far from the end for V Rising. The devs aren't going back to sleep in their coffins after achieving this milestone; rather, they're hard at work on "new and exciting things" for V Rising. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like those new and exciting things include a V Rising console port, because the devs say they're focused on improving the game on PC right now. Stunlock does, however, acknowledge that players are interested in console ports, so who knows; when we get closer to the 1.0 release, we may well see console versions on the horizon. Either way, we'll get more information about upcoming V Rising updates "soon", so watch out for that.

What is V Rising?

If you're new to the V Rising coven, allow me to explain. It's a vampire survival game in which you must build and maintain your vampiric domain while also venturing to nearby settlements to hunt for food (i.e. blood). You'll also need to protect your castle from external threats, so you'll need to be on your toes to make sure you're not caught unawares by enemies. Naturally, you can also raid other players' castles (or they could raid yours), so other vampires are another threat you'll need to be aware of. You won't be defenseless, though; you'll gain access to powerful vampire abilities and weapons that will help you turn the tide.

You can grab V Rising on Steam right now, where it's currently in Early Access. It'll set you back $19.99, although the game's currently on sale for 10% off, so if you have been thinking about getting it, now would be a good time to do so. If you're just setting out in the world of V Rising, do take a look at our ghoulish guides for the game, which will help you to get your bearings and protect your castle from vampires looking to consolidate their own domains.
