Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker’s first set of 8-man raid encounters has arrived with Patch 6.01. This update adds Pandaemonium: Asphodelos, taking you back to Elpis as you get to meet some of its more fearsome creatures. Completion of Asphodelos will be required to progress to the later parts of Pandaemonium, which will arrive in future updates — Patch 6.2 and 6.4, if it follows the same pattern as previous expansions. In this guide, we’ll show you how to unlock Pandaemonium Asphodelos, along with the rewards you can get.
Pandaemonium: Asphodelos Unlock Quest — The Crystal from Beyond
Old Sharlayan is home to the first Pandaemonium quest, named “The Crystal from Beyond”, marked by a blue icon on the map. The quest can be accepted by talking to the NPC Nemjiji at X:9.6 Y:11.9.
By following this questline, you’ll first head to Labyrinthos, and then Elpis. The second quest, “Where Familiars Dare”, is the one that unlocks the first duty, named “Asphodelos: The First Circle”.
While you can unlock the first duty at any ilvl (it only requires you to be on a level 90 job), you won't be able to enter via the duty finder unless your average item level is at least 565. If you’ve only just hit the endgame, make sure to check out our gear guide for 6.0 to learn more about improving your item level. You can also circumvent the ilvl block by going with a full premade party, though you will take more damage due to your weaker gear.
Pandaemonium: Asphodelos Token Rewards
Each duty will give out “Unsung” tokens upon completion, which must be rolled on against other party members. Each type of token relates to a different piece of ilvl 580 gear, and certain types of gear require more of the respective token to be traded in. You can also only get one token per duty each week, so make sure to plan out what you’re rolling for in advance.
These tokens can be traded at 2 vendors: one is in Radz-at-Han at X: 10.3, Y: 9.6, while the other is in Labyrinthos at X: 8.3, Y: 27.6. Both are marked as “Pandaemonium Relic Exchange” and give out the same items, though you need to complete the current Pandaemonium quest chain to unlock the latter vendor.

In addition to the regular tokens, there’s also an extra weekly reward in the form of “Unsung Blade of Asphodelos” tokens. You get 1 a week for completing Asphodelos: The Fourth Circle, and 7 of these can be traded for a Discal Tomestone. Said tombstone doesn’t actually do anything at the moment, but will be used to gain the next tomestone weapon in Patch 6.05.
While we don’t have a confirmed ilvl for the upcoming tomestone gear, it will likely be 590, upgradeable to 600 with an item from the savage version of Pandaemonium: Asphodelos.
