Final Fantasy XIV: Every Garlemald Aether Current Location

Zones in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker once again use the Aether Current system, requiring you to search the area or complete sidequests to unlock the ability to fly with mounts. While Garlemald is the third zone that you’ll visit during your journey in the expansion, it’s actually the first that you’ll be able to complete all the Aether Currents in without having to revisit. In this guide, we’ll show you every Garlemald Aether Location so you can easily grab them all.

In total, there are 15 Aether Currents to be collected in the Garlemald region, and we've got coordinates and pictures of each one!

Garlemald Aether Current Locations - Field Aether Currents

There are 10 Field Aether Currents in Garlemald to be found.

Garlemald Aether Current Location #1

• Location: X: 17.7, Y: 30
• This one is simple enough to find, only requiring you to go east from the initial Aetheryte. It’s situated on a cliff, though you can climb up quickly from either side.

Garlemald Aether Current Location #2

• Location - X: 29.5, Y: 31.7
• A brief detour is required here, as the Aether Current is at the end of two pipes. You must first head north to a set of stairs, before jumping onto the pipe (easier while on a mount). Then all you need to do is follow the pipe along while jumping over a few obstacles.

Garlemald Aether Current Location #3

• Location - X: 25.4, Y: 34.3
• Another quick one, this one also being near a quest. It’s not far west of the previous Aether Current if you’re already in the area.

Garlemald Aether Current Location #4

• Location -  X: 23.1, Y: 23.4
• While on the ground, you might not spot this Aether Current straight away. It’s hidden slightly via the building seen in the screenshot, though you’ll still be able to hear it once nearby.

Garlemald Aether Current Location #5

• Location -X: 24.1, Y: 18
• You’ll run into this one soon after entering the ruined city. It’s in plain site atop some rubble.

Garlemald Aether Current Location #6

• Location - X: 11.2, Y: 22.8
• Simple to reach, if a little out of the way. Head north from the starting Aetheryte, and then go west after the cliff.

Garlemald Aether Current Location #7

• Location - X: 29.1, Y: 11.8
• Can be found in the ruined city, and is only a few steps away from one of the main story quest objectives.

Garlemald Aether Current Location #8

• Location - X: 23.1, Y: 11.1
• At the end of a ruined bridge, requiring a detour south first. Can jump onto the lower part of the bridge, then run up from there.

Garlemald Aether Current Location #9

• Location - X: 18.5, Y: 13
• Inside a ruined building. It’s slightly obscured by smoke, though you’ll still be able to hear it (and potentially see the nameplate) from outside.

Garlemald Aether Current Location #10

• Location - X: 9.4, Y: 14.9
• Straightforward Aether Current that’s at the western side of the zone. You’ll be near this area for a story quest, so worth waiting until then.

Garlemald Sidequest Aether Currents

Sidequest Aether Currents are easier to spot, due to them being marked on your map by a blue quest icon — though you’ll have to progress through the main story to unlock them. These quests are:

• In Pursuit of Power — Requires main story quest Alea Iacta Est
• Best Delivered Cold — Requires main story quest Strange Bedfellows
• Children Are Our Future — Requires main story quest Strange Bedfellows
• Stranded at the Station — Requires main story quest Strange Bedfellows
• Gateway of the Gods — A main story quest, so you can’t miss it.
