Asmodee Group has announced a new Star Wars board game. This isn't another card game like Fantasy Flight's Star Wars Unlimited, or a miniatures game like Star Wars Shatterpoint. It is The Mandalorian: Adventures, a board game adaptation of the fan-favorite Disney+ spin-off show.

According to an official press release, The Mandalorian: Adventures is the fifth major tabletop release by developer Unexpected Games. This is the same developer behind the farcical Voices In My Head and the Wild West-themed card game, 3000 Scoundrels and its following expansion pack, Double or Nothing.
As the name implies, The Mandalorian: Adventures is a board game adaptation of the show's first season. It is a co-op strategy game where 1-4 players control one of eight characters and work together to fight enemies, solve dilemmas, and complete each mission's objective. Each game takes 30-60 minutes to complete.
The game features an intuitive system that is easy to teach. The game slowly grows with new rules, components, and mission types added over the course of the game. One new feature even includes a hidden traitor mechanic, leading to dissent at the table.
The Mandalorian: Adventures was designed by Unexpected Games' head, Corey Konieczka. His design credits include Twilight Imperium Fourth Edition, Eldritch Horror, and Star Wars: Outer Rim.
“I’ve always dreamed of making more Star Wars games, and The Mandalorian was the perfect inspiration. I think we really captured the spirit of the show in a compelling way, and I can’t wait for folks to play the game!” said Konieczka.
The Mandalorian: Adventures will be arriving at retail stores later this year at an MSRP of $49.99. It contains 210 cards, 142 tokens, 1 mission book, 8 standees, 2 envelopes, and more. At time of writing, there is no concrete release date.
