All About CD Projekt RED's Sci-Fi Game
CD Projekt RED is well known for The Witcher franchise. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been an unabashed success, and their very next major game will mark the company's first serious foray into sci-fi. When is the Cyberpunk 2077 release date? What platforms is Cyberpunk 2077 releasing on? We'll tell you everything we know!
What is Cyberpunk 2077?
Cyberpunk 2077 is, at its core, a role-playing game very similar in style to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. One key difference, however, is that this game is set in a futuristic cyberpunk setting in a metropolis called Night City.
Based on the Cyberpunk tabletop game, Cyberpunk 2077 tells the story of your own character working their way through a world of cybernetically augmented rogues, criminals, and downright villains. There will be a ton of stuff for you to do in this game—and you'll be able to play it with your very own style.
Cyberpunk 2077 Platforms — What Platforms is Cyberpunk 2077 Releasing On?
CD Projekt RED doesn't do things small and that's reflected in the Cyberpunk 2077 platforms. You will, of course, be able to play the game on PC on the Cyberpunk 2077 release date, but that's not all—you can get it on both the current-gen and next-gen Xbox and PlayStation. Heck, you can even grab Cyberpunk 2077 on the Google Stadia, of all things.
What platforms is Cyberpunk 2077 releasing on?
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X
When is the Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date?

When is the Cyberpunk 2077 PC Release Date?
The Cyberpunk 2077 PC release date will be November 19, 2020. This will be the first wave of releases for CD Projekt RED's sci-fi cyberpunk game, although it certainly isn't going to be the last.
When is the Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 Release Date?
The Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 release date is November 19, 2020—the same date as the game's PC launch. If you're thinking about waiting for the PS5 to get this, you won't have to. The PS4 version of this game will work day one on the PS5. That means that the PS5 Cyberpunk 2077 release date is likely the same as the launch day for that console.
When is the Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 Release Date?
We don't have a Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 release date just yet. However, anyone who purchases the PS4 version of the game will be able to play it on the PS5 whenever that console launches, so you shouldn't wait for the PS5 launch to pick up a copy of the game if you already own a PS4.

When is the Cyberpunk 2077 Nintendo Switch Release Date?
There's no Cyberpunk 2077 Nintendo Switch release date just yet, much less a confirmation that it's coming to that platform. When is the Cyberpunk 2077 Stadia Release Date?
There is no Cyberpunk 2077 Stadia release date just yet, but the developers subtly confirmed its existence in a recent press release. Yes, there will be Cyberpunk 2077 DLC. Much like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CD Projekt RED plans to release free DLC; there may possibly be paid expansions as well. Will There Be Cyberpunk 2077 Microtransactions?
It's unlikely that will be any Cyberpunk 2077 microtransactions. An interview in late 2019 with CD Projekt Red inquired about the topic and the Cyberpunk 2077 developer gave a strong indication that we wouldn't be seeing any microtransactions in this game.
"I think it's a bad idea to do microtransactions after you release a game," said CD Projekt Red's Krakow Office Head John Mamais in an interview with GameSpot. "It seems like it's very profitable, though. It's probably a hard decision for the guy that runs the business to decide if we should do it or not. But if everyone hates it, why would we do something like that and lose the goodwill of our customers?"
Is Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer?
There will be Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer, but you're going to have to wait for it. CD Projekt Red has expressly confirmed that multiplayer is in the works. Judging by CDPR's tweet on the matter, the odds are good that we will indeed receive multiplayer gameplay of some sort, but we'll probably have to wait until several months after the initial Cyberpunk 2077 release date.

As best as we can tell, it doesn't look like there will be a Cyberpunk 2077 demo released. It doesn't look like the developers have publicly commented on the matter. Furthermore, a quick glance at CD Projekt Red's Steam developer page shows that they have not released a demo for any of their games, so I don't think we'll see a demo before the Cyberpunk 2077 release date.
