So you have a powerful Solo build and want an epic melee weapon to match? Check out our Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Dazed and Confused guide below.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Dazed and Confused – Finding The Job
The Dazed and Confused gig should become available after you've progressed far enough in Phantom Liberty's main story. After completing The Damned story mission and having your first in-person meeting with Mr. Hands.
Check your map and head for the yellow story mission roughly in the center of Dogtown. The mission you get seems to be a simple rescue operation: a BD artist named Lina Marina.
Get to the Brainporium and you'll discover the job has gotten a bit more complicated. “Lina” is actually a BD fan named Tool whose personal identity got scrambled in an accident.
His friend, Shank, wants to capitalize on this situation. Specifically, he wants you to coordinate a BD shoot with Tool and the real Lina Marina.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Dazed and Confused – Heal The Mind or Make Some Cash?
This is where this mission branches off. Do you let Shanks take advantage of his poor friend, or do you help Tool get his mind back?
Make Some Cash - Dazed and Confused
Once you leave the Brainporium, you'll have the option to either text Viktor or Judy about Tool's situation. Both characters will give you the same advice. Find something personal of Tool's, which will help him come back to reality.
Head back into the Brainporium and enter the booth next to the one Tool is in. On the ground should be a handwritten note. Scan it.
From there, continue the mission as normal. Reach Lina's place. Sneak in, go in guns blazing. Either way, convince Lina to show up to the shoot.
Once that is done, return to the Brainporium and have Lina read Tool's handwritten note. Lina will walk away thinking she got pranked and Tool is back to being himself.
And aside from some eddies by Shank, a Thank You text from Tool, and Johnny's approval, that is all you get for taking these extra steps.
Heal the Mind - Dazed and Confused
Surprisingly, the more beneficial option is the former. Go through the mission as normal, but instead choose any of the other prompts during the BD shoot.
You still get paid by Shank, but now Lina treats you as a savvy producer. And as a token of appreciation, she will gift you her Iconic Baby Boomer baseball bat. Oh and Tool's entire grip on reality is even more scrambled than before. Congratulations.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Dazed and Confused – The Baby Boomer Baseball Bat
If you choose to Heal the Mind, you'll get the Baby Boomer Baseball Bat, and what makes the Baby Boomer such a potent club is that every consecutive hit in a combo has a higher critical chance. Keep swinging and eventually one of those hits will have on explosive payoff.
The bat even has a 20% Bleed and Stun Chance on a hit as well as 25% armor penetration. Meaning eventually one of your swings will do something.
The only downside to the Baby Boomer is it has a really slow attack speed. But, if you spec hard into the Body stat, take Wrecking Ball, Breakthrough, and at least two levels of Quake, those blows will crumple armor and hobble any sad soul that comes at you.
