Icarus is a first-person, open-world survival crafting game created by RocketWerkz, a new game development studio formed by DayZ creator Dean Hall.
In Icarus, someone or something has screwed up the terraforming of the titular planet Icarus and things aren't exactly normal. Ferocious storms pass over the surface and weird "exotic matter" has popped up everywhere, opening up exciting new scientific prospects -- as long as you can survive the dangers of the planet.
What makes Icarus unique is the session-based nature of the game. Each and every "Prospect" mission has a running countdown and you'll need to leave the planet before your time expires. If you don't, your character is trapped on the world forever and you'll lose everything you've worked so hard to create. Fortunately, you don't have to go it alone -- you can play together with up to a total of 8 players in drop-in, drop-out co-operative play.
