Icarus Headstone: Geo-Survey Prospect Mission Walkthrough & Guide
This is a pretty simple mission to get through, provided you are aware of a few key points in advance:
- There are much more rigorous cliffs that can easily be fallen off of.
- Cave worms are in this mission and will attack you.
Other than these few notes, you shouldn't have too much of a problem getting through the mission, especially if you're following the guide below.
Once you drop into the world, you will see several crates on your map, you will want to begin your journey to the closest one. This is going to be a bit of a long hike, so make sure you grab some oxite ore, feel up your water, and hunt some animals to cook along the way.
Locate Supply Crate Dropoff
Building a base
You're going to be walking a lot, and while this isn't a combat mission, you can still be attacked by wildlife. Go ahead and build a small shack next to the lake and throw down your bedroll. This location places you in the middle of your objectives and provides you with an easy place to drop into as you make it to each crate. You won't need to craft anything fancy for this mission as it's pretty quick to complete.
Locate the Other Supply Drop Crates
Once you are topped off on your supply, head to the other drop crates. You should be able to reach both of them in a day, but be extra cautious when traveling as you will be around cliffs and the game does have fall damage. Repeat the same steps that you did when placing your first geo-station. After you interact with the last crate, pick up the station, and head back to your house if needed, a fourth drop crate should have popped up on your map as your final objective.
The Final Supply Drop Crate & The Uplink Transmitter
The final steps are to head to the last drop crate, but this time you are getting an uplink transmitter. Use the transmitter to upload the data you've collected throughout the mission. Once it's done scanning, all of your mission icons should be checked. You simply need to head back to your spaceship and board it to finish up.
