Earlier today, a rumor started spreading among fans and media alleging that the PC version of Tekken 8 would include the infamous Denuvo DRM

The rumor was apparently sparked from an EULA on Steam, but Tekken 8 game director and chief producer Katsuhiro Harada took to Twitter to clear the misunderstanding and mentioned with his usual eloquence that he has no plans to implement Denuvo.

You can read the statement below (Sic).

this EULA is probably simply a copy/paste of TEKKEN7 or something (I'm not a registered this but sure). Anyway, I’ve no plans to introduce Denuvo or anything else in TEKKEN8, so stop your tedious allergic reactions to every single thing & sit quietly (sit the hell down).

Just yesterday at Evo 2023, we saw some big reveals about the game, which will include a brand new character named Azucena from Peru (portrayed above), alongside the return of Raven.

Tekken 8  will launch for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 and doesn't have a release date or date just yet. That being said, we already know that the game will support both Crossplay and Rollback Netcode.

If you'd like to see some more characters that will appear in the game, you can take a look at the trailers dedicated to Claudio SerafinoBrian Fury, HwoarangLili De Rochefort, Asuka Kazama, Leroy SmithLing XiaoyuJun Kazama, Jack-8Lars AlexanderssonKingMarshall Law, Paul PhoenixJin KazamaKazuya Mishima, and Nina Williams.

You can also read our hands-on preview, in which our very own Robert Scarpinito mentioned that the game is "shaping up to be another exciting, adrenaline-fueled entry in the series."
