It's time for a new Tekken 8 gameplay trailer, and this one is spotlighting an old friend. Paul Phoenix is making his triumphant return in Bandai Namco's upcoming fighter, and he's sporting a brand new style that's likely to turn heads when he enters the ring.

Recent Tekken 8 gameplay trailers have shown off stalwarts like Jin Kazama and his father, Kazuya Mishima, but now it's Paul's turn to take the spotlight. He's got a new look that puts him somewhere between Chris Hemsworth and Axl Rose, and he makes his entrance on a motorbike, proving he's just as flamboyant and over-the-top as ever. You can check out Paul in action right here.

Paul's combat showcase demonstrates his deliberate, deft martial arts style, and, of course, we also get a look at his signature Burning Fist move, which is so powerful that it rips off one of the sleeves of his jacket (which then remains off). He's fighting his old friend Marshall Law in the trailer, and we can only hope these two friends manage to settle their differences before Law inevitably gets his own back in his trailer.

Mr. Phoenix is just one of the confirmed characters for the Tekken 8 roster. Others include the aforementioned Jin and Kazuya, as well as Nina Williams, King, Lars, and Jun. A new Jack unit, Jack-8, has also been confirmed for the game. Hopefully, we get to see some more gameplay trailers for these characters soon, because Tekken 8's fighting engine is looking pretty beefy indeed.

Tekken 8 was originally announced back at Evo 2022. Naturally, it's the eighth main installment of the ongoing Tekken fighting game series, with a plot that revolves around Jin Kazama finally getting to battle his father, Kazuya Mishima. We don't have a release date for the game yet, so expect plenty more character reveals between now and whenever that date gets revealed. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more info.
