Today, following the grand final of the Tekken 7 tournament at EVO Japan, Kazuhiro Harada himself was on stage to share news about Tekken 8.
We get the reveal of another returning character, Leroy Smith, who will come back to Tekken 8 after its debut in the previous game. He definitely looks like he's as stylish and powerful as ever.
The second character revealed today is Asuka Kazama, who also returns after appearing in every chapter after the fifth. You can check out both trailers below.

We also hear that the next closed alpha test (in person) will be in Lyon, France at The Mix Up tournament on April 22 and April 23. Another will follow between May 26 and May 28 at Combo Breaker in Illinois, USA.
Incidentally, the Tekken 7 tournament was won by Arslan Ash from Pakistan, who won against Meo-IL.
Tekken 8 is coming for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 and doesn't have a release date or window just yet.
Just recently, Bandai Namco hosted an extensive presentation at the Tekken World Tour 2022 finals, explaining how the gameplay will evolve from Tekken 7 thanks to a handful of new mechanics.
At the same time, we got the reveal that Fighting EX Layer developer Arika is helping with the development of the game, bringing a bit of Street Fighter DNA into the Tekken series.
