Today Bandai Namco released another brand-new trailer of the upcoming fighting game Tekken 8.
This time around, the trailer showcases one of the most relevant returning characters that will make an appearance in the game, Jun Kazama. Following her disappearance in Tekken 3, the possibility of her being still alive has been teased and hinted to several times, and now she's finally back.
We get to see her entrance and gameplay against Kazuya Mishima (who got his own trailer a while ago). Looks like she is back with a vengeance.
You can watch him in action below. If you'd like to see more character trailers, we also recently saw Jack-8, Lars Alexandersson, King, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Jin Kazama, and Nina Williams.
Tekken 8 is coming for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 and doesn't have a release date or window just yet.
Just recently, Bandai Namco hosted an extensive presentation at the Tekken World Tour 2022 finals, explaining how the gameplay will evolve from Tekken 7 thanks to a handful of new mechanics.
At the same time, we got the reveal that Fighting EX Layer developer Arika is helping with the development of the game, bringing a bit of Street Fighter DNA into the Tekken series.
Incidentally, a closed alpha test is coming to select locations around the world to gather feedback on the battle system of the game. It will be conducted on-site and in person. The first chance to try the game will be at EVO Japan 2023, but only players registered for the tournament will be admitted. More details on top of further locations will be shared at a later time. It remains to be seen whether Bandai Namco will host online beta events down the line. For the moment, we'll have to wait and see.
