Bandai Namco has released a new Tekken 8 gameplay trailer, and this time, it's focusing on the Ice-Cold Heir himself, Kazuya Mishima. The trailer shows off more of Tekken 8's bone-crunching combat and re-introduces the ruthless Kazuya as one of the central pillars of the roster.

In the trailer, Kazuya, who's just as cold and unforgiving as you'd expect, faces off against his son, Jin Kazama. Since this trailer revolves around Kazuya, it won't come as a surprise that the father comes out of the bout much better than the son does. You can take a look at the trailer, which should get you hyped if you're excited for Tekken 8, right here.

After the (rather charismatic) announcer heralds Kazuya's entrance into the fight, we see the Mishima heir firing off his signature combos, chaining punches and kicks together to devastating effect. As if that weren't enough, though, Kazuya then transforms into his iconic Devil form, at which point he gains access to even stronger attacks and laser projectiles. Good thing Jin has a Devil form too, although he doesn't transform into it during this trailer.

At the climax of the trailer, Kazuya grips his son by the neck, calling him "pitiful". It's nice to see that Kazuya hasn't lost any of his sharp edges in the transition to Tekken 8. He's the second major character Bandai Namco has spotlighted through a gameplay trailer, with the first being iconic agent Nina Williams, who got her own gameplay trailer a couple of weeks ago.

Tekken 8 was originally announced during the EVO fighting game tournament in August last year. Unfortunately, we don't yet have a release date or even an approximate window for Tekken 8, so we don't know when the game is arriving just yet. When it does, though, it'll come to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Watch this space for more Tekken 8 info.
