Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have announced the official release date for The Indigo Disk, the second part of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC.

Per a post on the official Pokemon X account, The Indigo Disk officially launches on December 14th, which puts its release almost exactly three months after that of The Teal Mask.

To commemorate the release date announcement, a new piece of artwork, which shows many of the characters and Pokemon that will take center stage in The Indigo Disk, was posted, and it's pretty fun to look at.

It won't be long until you can play The Indigo Disk.

The Indigo Disk is the second part of the two-part Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC adventure The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.

First revealed in February, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero takes you to the region of Kitakami in The Teal Mask and to the spectacular Blueberry Academy in The Indigo Disk.

In this second part of the DLC, you'll battle the BB League's Elite Four, a new set of highly skilled trainers, in your quest to become Blueberry Academy's best Trainer.

You'll also explore a breathtaking underwater environment full of varied biomes, so it won't all be battling your fellow Trainers for supremacy.

The Indigo Disk has plenty of varied biomes to explore.

The Indigo Disk will revolve around the legend of Terapagos, a cute little turtle Pokemon who you'll investigate as you explore Blueberry Academy's terrarium.

The game will also introduce Pokemon species previously unavailable in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as well as new evolutions like Archaludon, which evolves from Duraludon.

Once both The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk are completed, you'll return to Paldea in order to investigate the mystery of Area Zero's hidden treasure.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's The Indigo Disk DLC launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch on December 14th. You'll need to buy a DLC pass for both The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk if you want to experience either of them.

If you're playing through Pokemon Scarlet and Violet right now, make sure to take a look at our guides, which will help you orient yourself as you journey through the land of Paldea.
