Nintendo has revealed the release date for Part 1 of the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC during today's Pokemon Presents showcase.

The Teal Mask, which will take you to the land of Kitakami, will launch for Nintendo Switch on September 13th. The release date for Part 2, The Indigo Disk, has yet to be revealed.

Along with that release date, we also got tons of new information about the DLC, including some of the Pokemon species we'll be encountering and some extra story context.

In The Teal Mask, you'll take part in a joint school trip alongside students of Blueberry Academy. You're going to Kitakami, a land that revolves around a huge, proud mountain.

You'll encounter lots of Pokemon species that you can't otherwise find in Paldea, including Trevenant, Hoothoot, and Poliwag, among others.

We're also introduced to Dipplin, a new evolution of Applin. It looks a lot like a candy apple, but naturally, it's far more dangerous.

We then get to see three new Pokemon at the center of a Kitakami folktale: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti, collectively known as the Loyal Three. We got to meet them back in June as well.

It's in the name of these three Pokemon that the Festival of Masks is held, and you'll get to uncover the mystery behind both the folktale itself and the festival.

You'll also get to encounter Perrin, a photographer who wants to snap certain Pokemon species. The new Roto-Stick tool will also let you take wider-angle shots of yourself, your friends, and the world around you, so get snapping those selfies.

The new Ogre Oustin' minigame lets you pop ogre balloons for a high score, which will reward you with mochi to increase your Pokemon's stats.

Next up, it's time for some info about The Indigo Disk, the second part of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC.

You're invited to the aforementioned Blueberry Academy as an exchange student, where you'll get to explore a school that's mostly underwater. A terrarium plays host to four distinct biomes: a savannah, a coastal area, a canyon, and a polar zone.

Naturally, each area contains different Pokemon, and you'll get to meet them, as well as the local students, the Pokemon battling-obsessed BB League, and the local Elite Four, who should prove a challenge even for skilled trainers.

To take them on, you'll have to engage in Trials, one of which will let your Koraidon or Miraidon fly for a short period of time. You'll also get to encounter new Pokemon species, including Archaludon, a new evolution of Duraludon.

Eventually, during the course of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, you'll come back to Paldea to discover the meaning behind that title. What could it be? You'll have to wait to find out.

As well as info about the DLC, we also got to see a sneak peak for a brand new animated series known as Pokemon: Paldean Winds. Animation is being handled by WIT Studio, and the Paldea-set web series will consist of four episodes.

That's not all, either! You'll also soon have the chance to add a Mew and a Mewtwo to your Paldean adventuring team in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

To get your Mew, all you need to do is enter GETY0URMEW into your Scarlet and Violet Mystery Gift feature before September 18th. A special Tera Raid event will then let you challenge a powerful Mewtwo with the Mightiest Mark.

That's all for today's Pokemon Presents news about the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more info on all things Pokemon!
