The Pokemon Company has announced that an extra Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC epilogue will be released early next year.

The epilogue will tie up The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero's storyline and will be released on January 11th. Naturally, you'll need to own the DLC to play it.

You'll be reunited with your friends for the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC epilogue.

In the new episode, you'll get to revisit the land of Kitakami with Nemona, Arven, and Penny, although it's not entirely clear what you'll get up to when you're there.

The trailer announcing the new episode opens with the player's mom telling them to behave themselves on their new adventure.

It closes with a shot that seems to be a reference to the datamined Pokemon Pecharunt, which will presumably be the focal point of the new epilogue, although it hasn't officially been unveiled yet.

Together, the four are likely a reference to the Japanese folklore hero Momotaro (or "Peach Boy"), who traveled with a talking pheasant, monkey, and dog, to which The Teal Mask's Loyal Three point.

If you've missed out on the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero comprises two adventures that take place after the main game.

The first part, The Teal Mask, was released in September, taking you to the land of Kitakami (where you'll be returning for the new epilogue) to meet new Pokemon and follow a new story quest.

The Indigo Disk is the DLC's second part. It launched earlier this month, allowing you to explore the Blueberry Academy as you take part in an exchange program and battle new trainers.

If you want to play the new epilogue, you'll need to have finished both DLC adventures, as well as "a certain postgame event" in the base game.

Both DLC adventures are available right now, although you can't buy them separately. You can read our very own Andrew Stretch's review of The Teal Mask right here, and his opinion of The Indigo Disk here.
