The Pokemon Professor, er what's your name again?
Depending on which version of these games you pick up the main Pokemon Professor that you interact with throughout the story will be different. At this point in time, we don't know if the other professor will fill in any kind of minor role, just that they won't be your primary professor.
- Sada will be your primary Pokemon Professor in Pokemon Scarlet
- Turo will be your primary Pokemon Professor in Pokemon Violet
In keeping with the future and past theme that we've already seen present in the Legendary Pokemon the Professor's names also reference the future; Sada referencing pasada the Spanish for Past, and Turo referencing future the Spanish for future.

Shorts are comfy and easy to wear
Eagle eyed viewers have been able to notice that the starting appearance for the trainers, when they look like they're in a school uniform, have consistently shown them in scarlet or violet shorts and trousers. It's expected that depending on which version you purchase will influence the starting appearance of your character.
Town Insignias show off minor differences
Since the first trailer revealing this 9th generation of Pokemon we've seen imagery of two different crests. Depending on which Pokemon version you purchase you'll either see the sliced orange of the Scarlet emblem, or the bushel of grapes of the Violet emblem.
