Final Fantasy XIV's Moonfire Faire is back for another year, bringing summer fun to Eorzea. There are new quests and rewards to take on, with the infamous obstacle course making its triumphant return. In our Final Fantasy XIV Moonfire Faire 2022 Event Guide, we'll take you through everything this event has to offer.
Final Fantasy XIV Moonfire Faire 2022 Quests
This year's series of Moonfire Faire event quests can be started by talking to the NPC Mayaru Moyaru in Limsa Lominsa, Upper Decks at X: 11.5, Y: 13.8. He'll send you off to enjoy the festivities, which take place on a small island in Eastern La Noscea. Talking to Haermaga sets you off on the bulk of the quest chain, requiring you to talk to the NPC R'fhul Tia at X: 36.3, Y: 25. Following this, head to X: 36.5, Y: 27.9 to view another cutscene, before ending the first quest by talking to R'fhul Tia again.
The next quest, "Fhul Me Once", is shorter than it initially seems. You're tasked with making your way through the Eorzean Nimble Warrior course — the large obstacle course found in Eastern La Noscea during the event — while talking to a number of NPCs. While you can take the course on in full (including the new bomb-filled pathways), this quest can easily be completed by instead talking to the 2 Faire Adventurers stood next to the course. Each one is marked with a exclamation mark above their heads, and will allow you to skip directly to the next quest NPC. Talking to the course NPCs and then heading back to Haermaga will complete "Fhul Me Once".
For an extra challenge, the obstacle course extends past where you need to go for the quest. While there are no direct rewards for beating the full course, it can be a fun way to spend some time with fellow adventurers.
Final Fantasy XIV Moonfire Faire 2022 Rewards
Completing "Fhul Me Once" unlocks the achievement "Ever Dependable Grandmentor", along with a full set of Summer Sunset gear. This set has a different appearance based on whether it's worn by a male or female character, though the Summer Sunset Beach Cover-up's coat is shown for both versions.
It's also possible to buy a Summer Bonfire housing item for 5000 Gil from the Moonfire Faire Vendor, which is unique to this year's event. Previous Moonfire Faire rewards (mostly swimsuits) are only available via the Final Fantasy XIV Online Store for real money.
