Massive Monster and Devolver Digital have announced a release date for the upcoming Cult of the Lamb Sins of the Flesh update.
The update, which follows previous content drops like the Blood Moon Festival, officially arrives on January 16th. That's next Tuesday at time of writing.
The two studios describe this new update as the game's "biggest and most wicked" yet, and it's bringing tons of stuff, including new quests, cult life features, and combat options.
First up, you're getting new progression systems that allow your followers to indulge in new depths of avarice and gluttony. Just what every cult leader wants!
A new Disciples system also provides revamped leveling for Follower progression, which should hopefully make running your cult a little more satisfying. Now there's a strange sentence.
New cult life features will challenge you when you're not running through dungeons, too; shiny poop will give extra boons to your cult, for instance, and your broom can now be leveled up to make chores go quicker.
You'll find new combat options available in the Sins of the Flesh update for Cult of the Lamb, too, including a brand new Blunderbuss weapon that's devastating at close range.
Cultists can now wear different outfits, and what's more, they can even raise children together, which...well, let's not think about the implications of you creating a fanatical religious society that never runs out of new followers, eh?
As well as announcing the timing for the Sins of the Flesh update, Devolver and Massive Monster have also revealed that Cult of the Lamb has sold 3.5 million copies since the game's release in August 2022. Given that it managed to hit a million within its first week, it's safe to say this is a popular one.
Cult of the Lamb's Sins of the Flesh update lands on January 16th. The game is available right now for PC via Steam, as well as PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
