What Are Cult of the Lamb Tarot Cards?
Tarot Cards are items in Cult of the Lamb that temporarily boost your power. Each Tarot Card confers a different benefit. The bonuses from Tarot Cards will disappear when you die or return to the Cult.
Visiting Clauneck within the dungeon will give you a choice between two random Tarot Cards. The selection is limited at first, but you can eventually unlock more as you play through the game.
What Are + Tarot Cards and ++ Tarot Cards?
Rarely, you may encounter + Tarot Cards and ++ Tarot Cards while playing the game.
+ Tarot Cards have a bonus that gives you a stronger effect than the standard card. The ++ Cards are even stronger than that, giving you a significant boost in power as seen in the examples above.

- Effect - Reveal the map.

- Effect - Dead enemy bodies explode, damaging other enemies.

Diseased Heart
- Effect - Damages everything on screen when hit.

The Arachnid
- Effect - Deals poison damage to enemies struck.
- How to Unlock - Unlocked by default.
Divine Strength
- Effect - Attack rate increased by 1.25x
- How to Unlock - Unlocked by default.
Master of the Art
- Effect - Overall weapon damage increased by 1.2x
- How to Unlock - Unlocked by default.
The Path
- Effect - Increased movement speed by 1.25x
- How to Unlock - Bought at Spore Grotto.
Fervour's Harvest
- Effect - Enemies will drop 2x more Fervour
- How to Unlock - Unlocked by default.
Soul Snatcher
- Effect - When killing an enemy 10% chance of healing.
- How to Unlock - Bought at Smuggerl's Sanctuary.
Shield of Faith
- Effect - When attacked 10% chance of negating damage.
- How to Unlock - Unlocked by default.
The Bomb
- Effect - Drop an explosive when you roll, 10s cooldown
- How to Unlock - Bought at Smuggerl's Sanctuary.
Ichor Earned
- Effect - Drop black Ichor on hit.
- How to Unlock - Bought at Midas's Cave.
Ichor Lingered
- Effect - Drop black Ichor when you roll, 10s cooldown

Mithridatism
- Effect - Immune to poison.
- How to Unlock - Defeat Flinky at Knucklebones for the first time.
Blazing Trail
- Effect - Rolling into an enemy will damage them.
- How to Unlock - Bought at Spore Grotto.
Divine Curse
- Effect - Curses consume 25% less Fervour
- How to Unlock - Unlocked by default.
Strength from Within
- Effect - Fervour will slowly replenish over time, 2.5s cooldown
- How to Unlock - Defeat Shrumy at Knucklebones for the first time.
Strength from Without
- Effect - Receive 5 Fervour when hit
- How to Unlock - Defeat Klunko and Bop at Knucklebones for the first time.
Neptunes Curse
- Effect - Enemies have a chance to drop a Fish.
- How to Unlock - Catch a Fish and give it to The Fisherman at Pilgrim's Passage.
Fortune's Blessing
- Effect - Receive double the health when healing.
- How to Unlock - Unlocked by default.
Death's Door
- Effect - When hit down to 1/2 Red Heart, all enemies will be dealt 2 damage.
- How to Unlock - Unlocked by default.
The Deal
- Effect - When killed, resurrect with 1 Red Heart
- How to Unlock - Bought at Midas's Cave.
Rabbits Foot
- Effect - Increases chance to spawn better chests.
- How to Unlock - Unlocked by default.
Ambrosia
- Effect - Increased curse attack damage by 1.25x
- How to Unlock - Bought from Forneus.
Gift from Below
- Effect - 10% chance of gaining 1 Blue Heart when killing an enemy.
- How to Unlock - Unlocked by default.
Fervour's Host
- Effect - Fervour replenishes fully when entering a new combat room.
- How to Unlock - Purchase enough Cultists from Helob.
- We estimate you'll need to purchase 10 or so Cultists from Helob to unlock this, but we're not sure -- the unlock method may be something else related to Helob.
Best Cult of the Lamb Tarot Cards
The Best Cult of the Lamb Tarot Card is the one that most improves your power or gives you added functionality. Here are our favorites:
- The Hearts I / II / III - Any card from "The Hearts" series adds Red Hearts for the run, and more health is always good in a roguelike.
- Blazing Trail / Ichor Lingered / The Bomb - Any of these three cards will cause damage to enemies when you roll.
- Fortune's Blessing - Makes healing twice as effective and is especially useful when combined with the appropriate Demon.
- Shield of Faith - Gives you a 10% chance to avoid all damage after being hit.
- The Deal - Gives you an extra red heart for the next run. Supremely useful for prepping for big boss fights!
