You'll get the Dire Circumstances Quest from Kenli once you reach Friendship Level 2 with him. An exclamation mark will pop up above his head indicating that he has a new Quest for you.

How to Complete the Palia Dire Circumstances Quest

Completing the Dire Circumstances Quest in Palia can be difficult if you don't know where to look. Fortunately, this guide will save you a lot of time by giving you the exact location!

At the start of the Quest, Kenli is pretty panicked about his missing lunch. Unfortunately, Kenli only gives you three clues, and they're pretty vague overall:

• Near a waterfall
• In the shade
• Flowers nearby

There is more than one waterfall in Kilima, and there are flowers and shade pretty much everywhere. That makes finding this lunch kind of a pain in the butt if you're trying to figure it out.

After some searching, I've found that Kenli's Sandwich is sitting on a bench in the gazebo next to Phoenix Falls. Simply head back to where you first started the game and go inside the gazebo; you'll find it in a picnic basket sitting on a bench.

Once you have the mayor's precious sandwich, all you'll need to do is track Kenli down and return the Sandwich to him. Open up the Map and look for his icon, then make your way over to him and give him back his precious lunch.
