Saving missing people (or at least trying to) is just one of your slayer’s many quests during their time in Hell-A. In our Dead Island 2 Missing: Rainier Lost and Found Guide, we’ll go over how to complete one of the last missing person requests and the rewards for doing so.

How to start Missing: Rainier in Dead Island 2

Missing: Greg can be started from the Serling Hotel missing person request board. It will only be available if there aren’t earlier requests on the board (the lost and found board can only hold a few sidequests at a time), and after you’ve completed the main story.

The start of this quest is also in Ocean Avenue, taking you to the lab from the main story. Inside, you’ll find lots of burning zombies — they’re completely immune to flaming weapons, though guns and explosives are still effective. After wiping them out and killing the named zombie, take the note and fast travel to Hollywood Boulevard.

Once in Hollywood Boulevard, head down into the metro station. Rainier is trapped inside a room, surrounded by zombies. After dealing with the immediate threat, Rainier asks you to find the key to free him. Heading to the nearby maintenance room, you find that a man called Lenny had the key. Lenny can be found on the lower station platform, now zombified. Taking the key from his corpse will net you the key for the room, which unsurprisingly reveals a hostile Rainier. Killing him will complete the quest, giving you 2,500 XP and the Superior Melee Puncturator Mod.

Additionally, heading into the room Rainier was locked in will let you grab the Custodian’s Locker Key. This lets you open the locker in the maintenance room, which features a Superior Puncturator Nail Gun.
