Epic Games has announced the latest skin set in Fortnite's Icon Series, and wouldn't you know it, it's racing legend Lewis Hamilton.

He'll join other Icon Series skins like Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, and soccer star Neymar Jr. when he arrives in Fortnite's Item Shop on Friday.

The new Lewis Hamilton range will include a skin for Hamilton himself, as well as a rather fetching superhero-style purple and yellow getup.

The bundle will also include a hoverboard, a melee weapon, and Roscoe the dog, who you'll know if you're familiar with Hamilton and his lifestyle.

All of these items will be available via Fortnite's Item Shop, like the other skins in the Icon Series.

Fortnite is well-known for crossing over not only with real-life celebrities like Hamilton and the rest of the Icon Series range, but also with other fictional properties.

Prominent Fortnite crossovers in the past have included anime hits like My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball, as well as major cultural touchstones like Star WarsSpider-Man, and Futurama.

The game has also crossed over with real-life events and festivals, including the Coachella festival, and musicians like the aforementioned Travis Scott have also held in-game concerts within the battle royale smash hit.

If you're somehow not familiar with Fortnite, it's a free-to-play battle royale game in which players must battle one another on a vast island.

There's also a survival-focused co-op PvE version of Fortnite by the name of Fortnite: Save the World, but the PvP battle royale game is by far the most popular of the two.

Recently, Fortnite returned to its Chapter 1 map for the nostalgic "Fortnite OG" update, resulting in the game reaching its biggest day ever and attracting 44.7 million players simultaneously.

If you want to know what all the fuss is about, you can play Fortnite right now on PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
