The full Hokko Life release date has just been announced. Wonderscope and Team17's relaxing life sim is leaving its Early Access phase in September, when it'll launch in full for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
When is the Hokko Life release date?
If you've been holding out for a full release of Wonderscope's life sim, you won't have to hold out for much longer. The full Hokko Life release date is September 27th, so mark that date in your calendar. Hokko Life originally entered Early Access back in June last year, and since then, it's received a bevy of updates and extra content to keep its chilled-out village feeling fresh and new. These updates have included bug-catching competitions, extra villagers to bring some new narrative elements into the game, and additions to the farming system, to name but a few.
What exactly is Hokko Life?
If you love games like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, then you'll definitely want to check out Hokko Life. It's a cozy, blissed-out life sim in which you move to the quiet town of Hokko in order to start a new life away from the hustle and bustle of the city. While there, you can tend to a farm, get to know the town's residents, and redecorate both elements of the town and your own home however you like. Suffice it to say Hokko Life is all about letting you play the game your way. Of course, you can also descend into the local mines to farm for resources if you decide that your life isn't quite eventful enough in Hokko.
Hokko Life launches in full for PC and consoles on September 2nd. While it isn't getting a release for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, you'll almost certainly be able to play it on those consoles via backwards compatibility, so don't despair.
