The Hokko Life Village Chic Update has arrived for Wonderscope and Team 17's life sim on Steam, adding a photo mode, new clothing, and a new 3D painting tool that lets you make customized clothing.
Hokko Life is a life sim game somewhat similar to Animal Crossing that launched in Steam Early Access earlier this year. This game is the result of its creator's desire to make a warm and cozy game, and anyone who's played it would certainly say that he succeeded. There's already been one major content update that added farming back in July, and now a new update has arrived that focuses on all kinds of new clothing items and features (among other things).
What's New in the Hokko Life Village Chic Update?
The first major addition in the Hokko Life Village Chic Update is over 250 new hat and head items, adding a fair amount of flair to your character's dome. Put on a beanie, slide on some shades, and head into town while wearing the latest fashions.
If you really want to glow up your style, you can take things a step further with the new 3D Painting Tool. This tool allows you to make intricate designs on custom clothing, and you can now share those designs through the Creator Catalogue just as you can with your furniture. This is supplemented with a new brush pack in the Workshop made with clothing in mind and "lots" of new clothing design types.
The final major addition in this update is something that will be welcome to fans of taking stylish pictures: a Hokko Life Photo Mode has finally arrived. As the trailer shows, you can freely change the angle of the camera, hide the interface, and even use a "whistle" command to get your character to look at the screen.
Naturally, a fair number of bug fixes have also been added in this update; you can read about all of the changes and additions in the Hokko Life Village Chic Update patch notes. You can join in on the fun by buying Hokko Life on Steam for $19.99 or your regional equivalent.
