Are you wondering how to build Hokko Life storage? Well, there's good news — a post-launch update has finally added buildable storage items to the game!

Hokko Life is a life sim game that's somewhat similar to Animal Crossing. One of this game's unique features is the ability to design and build custom furniture! It did have one flaw at launch, however — you weren't able to store items in containers. That's all changed with a recent update — here's how you can build storage!

Hokko Life Storage Guide – How to Unlock Storage

Before you can unlock Hokko Life storage, you're going to have to complete the game's tutorial. Thankfully, it's not a terribly long process — you'll be able to do it in around an hour.

One of the latter parts of the game's tutorial opens up access to the Workshop. That's where you'll meet Sally the Carpenter, and she sells two new Designer Blueprints:

• Small Storage Item – Storage space for 16 Items
  • Size: 1m x 1m x 1n – 3m x 3m x 3m
• Large Storage Item – Storage space for 24 Items
  • Size: 2m x 2m x 2m – 4m x 4m x 4m

How to Build Storage in Hokko Life

You can build Hokko Life Storage like pretty much any other item in the game:

1. Buy the Small Storage Item Designer Blueprint or Large Storage Item Designer Blueprint from Sally.
2. Design your item at the nearby table to build it.
3. Make copies as needed, or place it and use it right away.

How Storage Works in Hokko Life

Hokko Life storage is a little different than other furniture and this new feature is surprisingly versatile.

To start, this piece of furniture stores items inside of it. Surprisingly, that also means that the items will stay inside if you pick it up. You can not make a copy of a storage item as long as there are items inside — you'll have to take everything out first.

Storage items can be placed anywhere that you can place furniture. You can even put items in a storage item, pick up the storage item, and then put that storage item inside of another storage item! You probably won't need to, though, unless you're really obsessive about storing everything just the way you want to.
