Abiotic Factor Vehicles Guide - How to Get Around Faster

This guide will tell you how to get Abiotic Factor vehicles and how you can use it to move your friends (and your items) around the map faster.

As you can see from the map, the GATE Facility in Abiotic Factor is a pretty massive complex. You can run around pretty quickly with the right Skills, but a nice set of wheels beats hoofing it any day of the week. Read on to learn how to get your hands on a sweet ride!

How to Get a Vehicle in Abiotic Factor

You can get a vehicle in Abiotic Factor by making your way to the Manufacturing Sector. Once you do, you'll be able to get access to a Forklift that is excellent for moving items around the map.

First, you'll have to make your way through the Office Sector and complete the objectives in Flathill. You'll leave Flathill with 3 Power Cells, one of which you'll need to power up the Forklift to open up the path to the Manufacturing Sector.

Unfortunately, you'll soon learn that the Manufacturing Sector is swarming with soldiers from the Order. Although this is a good opportunity to get some new guns, you probably won't be able to get past the crossroads at first. The crane operator will tell you via the radio to make your way down through the Garage in Manufacturing West.

On your way through the Garage, you'll come across an unpowered Forklift. This, too, will require a Power Cell. Take one of the spare Power Cells from your adventures in Flathill, insert it into the Forklift, and it will be good to go.

After you've completed the Manufacturing Sector, you'll be able to find multiple Security Carts in The Labs sector. These vehicles are ideal for transporting multiple players at the same time, but they don't have the cargo capacity of the Forklift.

Once you get to the Security Sector, you'll find your first SUV. This combined the functionality of a Forklift and a Security Cart, but it's a much larger vehicle and it can be difficult to navigate some of the tighter spaces. Unfortunately, you can't get the items you need to hotwire it until you reach the Hydroplant Sector.

How to Use Vehicles

Using vehicles is fairly straightforward — each vehicle needs to be powered up by supplying it with a specific item. Once that's done, all you need to do is simply hop in and start driving. Much of the GATE Facility has ramps and large doors that will allow you to drive most (but not all places).

Critically, certain vehicles (such as the Forklift) have their own inventory. These particular vehicles are excellent for moving resources from one base to another. Other vehicles have extra seats for easier use in multiplayer.

Every vehicle has a "recall" button near where you first found it. Pressing it will return the vehicle to that exact spot should it get lost. Keep this in mind if you accidentally drive off a cliff or get your vehicle stuck!
