Today Colossal Order released a new video showcasing the upcoming and highly-anticipated city-builder Cities: Skylines 2.

This video dives deeper into the maps of the game, following the trailer released earlier this week and adding developer commentary and more information. 

We get to see just how many tiles the maps have compared to the original Cities: Skylines, which had only nine tiles (unless you used mods) meausirng 12.7 square miles or 33 square kilometers in total. The new maps will have 441 toiles for a total area of 61.7 square miles or 160 square kilometers.

We also take a look at the map selection menu, with ten themes maps at launch taking inspiration from various real-world locations. They can be in the Northern or Southern Emisphere, influencing seasons, and have different climates and resources.

Cities: Skylines 2 launches on October 24, 2023, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. It'll also be released on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
