Today Colossal Order and Paradox Entertainment released another trailer about the upcoming city builder Cities: Skylines 2.

This time around, the video focuses on the cinematic camera and the photo mode.

The photo mode is extremely complex and full of options, and those who enjoy virtual (or real) photography will likely enjoy all the elements they'll be able to tweak.  They certainly feel like they can compete with a professional DSLR.

On top of that, you can also change the weather and time of day, for a truly personalized shot.

The cinematic camera lets you basically create a timeline of camera angles and position on top of other options to create your own cinematic shots. Like the photo mode, there are plenty of advanced options to tweak, and content creators will likely be able to create spiffy videos without having to rely too much on external software.

Interestingly, today's trailer and those in the same series have been created using this feature, so it's definitely quite powerful.

You can check out the video below and see just how far the options go.

Cities: Skylines 2 will launch for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 on October 24, 2023. It'll also be playable for Xbox Game Pass subscribers at release.

You should definitely read my hands-on preview, in which I highlight the fact that this is one of the most promising city builders I've seen in quite a while.
