This guide will tell you how to track down Spirittea Spirits and solve the puzzles to get more customers for the Bathhouse!

A big part of Spirittea is finding Lost Spirits and getting new customers for the Bathhouse. Some of these Spirits will involve a lot of work -- you'll have to run around the Map doing all sorts of tasks for these poor lost souls. Read on to learn how to unlock more Spirits!

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Revealing Wonyan After Drinking Spirittea for the First Time
Once you meet Wonyan, a grand adventure will begin where you track down lost Spirits across the town.

How to Find Spirits in Spirittea

You can find Spirittea Spirits by using Spirit Vision and looking around an area where you suspect they might be. This will be fairly easy in the early portions of the game, but discovering Spirits will take a lot more work as you progress through the story.

At first, all you'll need to do is be in the right place at the right time in order to find Spirits. Eventually, though, Spirits may require you to solve a puzzle or provide them with an item in order to unlock them for the Bathhouse.

Naturally, you'll also need to know where to find Spirits. You'll get clues in 3 ways:

  1. A conversation with a Villager
  2. A report on the Bulletin Board next to Song's Shop
  3. A strange sound or graphical effect that you randomly encounter

You'll have to interpret these clues and find the correct location for the Spirit along with what you need to do in order to unlock them.

Of course, we've already done a lot of the legwork for you -- if you happen to be stuck, keep reading and we'll give you the help you need to find these lost Spirits!

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Putting Spirittea into the Tea Thermos
You can buy a Tea Thermos at Song's Store and store Spirittea in it to recharge your Spirit Vision on the go.

How to Find More Spirits

You can find more Spirits by running the Bathhouse and serving Spirits which gradually levels up your Spirituality.

How to Recharge your Spirit Vision

There are two ways to recharge your Spirit Vision in Spirittea:

  1. Sleep
  2. Drink Spirittea

Sleeping for only 1 or 2 hours will only restore a small amount of your Spirit Vision; you'll need at least 7 hours of sleep if you want to fully recharge your Spirit Vision. If you want to refill your Spirit Vision without sleeping, your only option is to drink Spirit Tea.

You can also purchase a Tea Thermos from Song's Store for 800 Moolags. This will allow you to store a pot of Spirittea and fully recharge your Spirit Vision when you're away from home.

What Are Lord Spirits?

Lord Spirits are massive Spirits that can only fit in the Lord Bath, a special bath in the west wing of the Bathhouse. You'll need to build the Left Wing Halls upgrade and then the Lord Bath upgrade to open it up.

After the Lord Bath is built, Lord Spirits will have a chance to appear if a bathing session is long enough. The Lord Bath has its own independent Boiler, so you'll need to fuel it up with 2 Boiler Root Logs.

The Lord Spirit's servants will demand heat, food, and elixirs even if you've already provided those. As long as you keep the Lord Bath heated, though, you'll provide an adequate experience.

Lord Spirits pay out an unusually large sum of Moolags. It's definitely worth the 2 Boiler Root Logs to give them the bare minimum experience. I also recommend storing several Boiler Root Logs in this room so you can quickly put them in the Lord Bath Boiler if you need to.

Spirittea Spirits List | Where to Find Spirits and How to Unlock Them

Here is a list of all of the Spirits we've found and how to unlock them. I've listed them in the order I unlocked them, so this list should roughly reflect what you'll be able to unlock as you advance through the game.

Keep in mind that you may not be able to see some of these Spirits until you level up your Spirituality at the Bathhouse.

Talk to the Spirits and they'll escape the store in a comically small car. Chase them while sprinting and you'll eventually be able to catch up to them. Once you catch them 3 times, both Aurum and Fatherog will be revealed.

Talk to the Spirit again and it will move into the Shrine.

In addition to Fenias appearing at the Bathhouse, he will take up residence at the Shrine you repaired. You can sell nearly any item to Fenias in exchange for some Moolags as long as you have your Spirit Vision active. Unfortunately, you'll need the Carrot Cake Cooking Recipe to get this Spirit, so make sure you buy it from Song's Shop. Carrot Cake requires the following:

  • Carrot
  • Cream Cheese
  • Plain Cake

Purchasing Carrot Cake will also unlock the Plain Cake Recipe automatically, which requires the following:

  • Milk
  • Egg
  • Flour

Make a Carrot Cake and set it down on the ground just to the right of the field as shown in the image above. Wait for the Spirit to show up around 4:00 AM. When the Spirit sees the Carrot Cake, it will begin eating it. You can then approach the Spirit and unlock Upo.

Ruko's possession of Sora is mutually beneficial, though -- Ruko runs the Secret Shop just to the right of the Bathhouse. Once you've unlocked Ruko, you'll be able to visit the Secret Shop at the same time and purchase Treasure Maps for Diggables (and a few other items, too).

You'll need to repair the Mountain Bridge north of town and open up access to the northwestern part of the Map before you can capture this Spirit.

Once you have the Mountains unlocked, you simply need to head to the clearing in the northeast of the Mountains area near the locked door and activate your Spirit Vision. You'll see two Lost Spirits playing with Hammers.

Talk with the Spirits and they'll challenge you to a rock-breaking contest. Time your hits to land in the white area and you'll beat them easily. Once you do, you'll unlock Larrick.

Fae's missing hammers will be left on the ground. Take them back to Fae and she'll reward you. After this is done, you'll occasionally see Larricks playing in the same area.

Wait below Kim's desk before 2:00 AM. Just after 2:00 AM, the Spirit will walk in and take Kim's phone. Do not attempt to talk to the Spirit; it will immediately run away.

Instead, you'll have to follow the Spirit. The Spirit will enter the elevator, and then it begins walking south.

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Fonuki Walking South Past Sujin's Boat

Keep a respectable distance from the Spirit.

Wait for the Spirit to come to a stop in the Tea Fields and start playing with the phone. It's now safe to talk to the Spirit.

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Fonuki Playing with Kim's Phone in the Tea Fields

When you talk to the Spirit, it will tell you that it likes looking at the "moving pictures." Go to sleep and wake up during the daytime. Visit Song's Store and she'll have televisions in stock. Purchase the Retro TV for 2,000 M.

Go to sleep again and wait by the Tea Fields; the Spirit will show up just after 2:30. Talk to the Spirit with the Retro TV in your hand and you'll capture it.

Onishi will reveal himself with a blank text box that pops up seemingly out of nowhere. This is not random -- this is a Spirit messing with the game itself.

When a blank text box pops up, press A (or left on the D-Pad) to highlight the picture box on the left. Hit the Interact button and the box will open up, revealing something on the ground.

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Curry Noodles on the Ground

You won't be able to do anything just yet.

Wait until you encounter another blank text box. Repeat the process and highlight the window in the text box; this will reveal a Lost Spirit.

Spirittea Spirits Guide - The Curry Noodle Fiend Revealed

Go to Eko's Convenience Store and purchase Spicy Curry Noodles for 30 M. Carry the Spicy Curry Noodles in your backpack until you see a text box pop up again.

  • Associated Villager: N/A
  • Bulletin Board Clue: N/A
  • Season: Fall

  • Associated Villager: Tobi
  • Bulletin Board Clue: No Bathing at Night
  • Season: ?
  • Bathing Behavior: ?
  • Favorite Food: ?
  • Size in Bath: 3x3

Capturing this Spirit will require repairing the Mountain Bridge and unlocking the northwestern portion of the Map. Once that's done, go to the Hot Springs after midnight on a Monday.

Enter the Hot Springs. A ghostly bus will appear and run you over. You will then wake up on the beach without any clothes.

You can, if you wish, talk to Villagers while you're nude for some amusing responses. When you've had your fun, return to the Mountains and you'll find your clothes by the river.

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Finding Your Clothes in the Mountains

You'll automatically put your clothes back on.

You must then return to the area after dark. Get up to the Mountains around 8:00 PM and you'll see some glowing footprints on the ground.

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Tracking Umakiki in the Mountains

Follow the footprints and you'll find Umakiki's house on the Map. Speak with Umakiki and he'll apologize for all of the chaos he's caused.

Umakiki will give you a gift as an apology.

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Umakiki's Weird Gift

I'm not sure what, if anything, can be done with this item. It's best not to think about it for now. (If we do figure out what it's good for, we'll be sure to update this guide!)

That brings this journey to an end. Umakiki is captured and will be available at the Bathhouse.

Naos

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Naos as a Talking Statue on the Mountain

  • Associated Villager: Clarence
  • Bulletin Board Clue: Caution on the Trails
  • Season: ?
  • Bathing Behavior: ?
  • Favorite Food: ?
  • Size in Bath: 2x2

You'll need access to the Mountains before you can unlock Naos. Once you have it (and the associated Bulletin Board clue), you'll have to head all the way up to the hiking trail leading to the summit of the Mountain, all the way to the top-left of the Map.

When you get to the top, a voice will speak to you and say, "Come back for another walk, have you?" Activating Spirit Vision will cause it to ask if you're looking for it. The Spirit will then issue a challenge for you to find it.

Naos will disguise himself as a small buddha statue and place himself next to one of the other statues on the trail. Here are some of the possible locations we've found:

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Naos Location Map

Naos will randomly appear at one of the circled locations (or perhaps elsewhere). The key takeaway is that he appears in an empty space next to other statues or scenery; if you know where the real statues are, you'll know which one he is since he's out of place.

Once you interact with the correct statue, Naos will teleport to another one of the locations. You have to catch Naos 3 times in 45 seconds. Once you do, you'll unlock this spirit.

Heck, Geckit, Froke

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Heck, Geckit, Froke Standing Next to a Stolen Baby

  • Associated Villager: Song
  • Bulletin Board Clue: -Missing Child
  • Season: ?
  • Bathing Behavior: ?
  • Favorite Food: ?
  • Size in Bath: 2x2

This Spirit is particularly messed up because it stole a baby. The disappearance of Song's child is a tragedy, and it makes it much more difficult to shop at the store, too.

Song mentions that she heard some noise and a flute playing. Go to the School on the east side of the Map and go up to the second floor. Go all the way to the left and you'll find a Flute lying on the ground behind a chair.

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Heck, Geckit, Froke Finding the Flute

This Flute is an equippable item. Put it in your Backpack for now.

Go back to the front of Song's Store and start playing the Flute. You'll see whitish-blue spots appear on the ground as long as you're playing.

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Heck, Geckit, Froke Playing the Flute v2

Continue playing the flute and head southeast. This will lead you to the southern beach, just to the right of the Pension house.

When you get to the right spot, two Lost Spirits will appear. Wonyan will be so upset that he'll eat one of them.

Spirittea Spirits Guide - Heck, Geckit, Froke Scared of Wonyan Eating a Spirit

Understandably, the other Spirit is terrified and immediately apologizes. It reveals itself as a trio of frogs called Heck, Geckit, Froke.

With the Spirit revealed, you'll be in the awkward position of having a baby sitting on the beach. You can pick up the baby and even put it in your Backpack. (If you want, you can also show it to people for a laugh; the police are surprisingly forgiving). Take the baby back to Song and she'll be overjoyed -- so overjoyed, in fact, that she'll give you 30,000 Moolags as a reward, too.

Hobin is one of the many Spirits that messes with the game's interface in a meta way. Listen for a crunching sound and activate Spirit Vision; you'll see a Spirit sitting on the Moolag counter on your interface, but he'll get away.

Pay attention for the crunching sound as you play. Activate Spirit Vision as soon as you hear it. Eventually, Wonyan will catch the Spirit and you'll reveal Hobin. As an apology, Hobin will give you the Shoddy Chicken Doll (which, to be honest, isn't much of an apology).

  • Season: ?

There are a total of 17 snowmen. You need to pick up Snowballs from the piles placed around the School and throw them at the snowmen; a single hit will destroy that snowman. If you get hit 3 times, you'll be knocked out and the snowmen will disappear until the next day.
