Our Spirittea Fishing Guide will show you all of the fish in the game and how to get them, as well as which villagers will enjoy going for a peaceful fishing session with you.

Fishing is both a way to get certain ingredients for cooking, as well as a social activity that you can do with certain villagers to increase your standing with them.

Fishing takes patience, as it can be quite some time before a dark circle shows up on top of your float.

How to Fish in Spirittea

If you want to get started with fishing, you're first going to need to invest a little bit of money in the fishing rod. It's typically always available from Song's store assuming that the store is actually open.

The Fishing Rod costs 400M in Song's Shop, but once you've got it, you won't need anything else to fish. Go out to a body of water and press the use button to cast your line into the water.

When a dark spot appears over your float, press the use button again to start the minigame.

You'll have to spam the button even harder to get rid of the seaweed.

Fishing Minigame Guide

The fishing minigame requires you to hold the analog stick in the opposite direction of the fish symbol and spam the use button. You also have to watch out for seaweed, which causes your line to get all caught up for a while.

If you can fill the bar at the bottom with enough correct presses before the central float symbol fills up with color, then you'll catch the fish.

If you end up going mad on fishing, you'll end up with a pretty impressive aquarium.
