Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion

The Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion has just been announced, and it's releasing on June 14, 2022 for £15.99/€19.99/$19.99. Included with it are a new prehistoric species such as the Pyroraptor, a feathered dino and a distant cousin of the Velociraptor and Deinonychus. There's also other species, a new dinosaur variant and skins, a new campaign, a new Chaos Theory level, and more. Let's check it out, shall we?

What's in the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion?

Other species that fans can expect in the Dominion Biosyn Expansion are the Therizinosaurus, which uses its elongated claws to eat vegetation rather than fight. There's also the Dimetrodon, the oldest prehistoric species added to Jurassic World Evolution 2 and has a big neural spine sail on its back. Last but not least is the Quetzalcoatlus, one of the largest flying animals to ever exist. It's huge, has a long, sharp beak, and it looks absolutely terrifying:

Look at those beady, hate-filled eyes.

Besides the new dinos, there's six new dinosaur skins and 2 new variants in the Giganotosaurus and Dreadnoughtus 2022 variant. There's 2 new skins for the T. rex as well, with a scarred 2022 version and a feathered version if that's what you're into. There's also a 2022 Dilophosaurus skin and 3 film-based skins for the Parasaurolophus.

The new campaign has players discovering the Biosyn valley and working with familiar faces, ranging from "Claire Dearing (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard), Dr. Alan Grant (voiced by Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (voiced by Laura Dern), and Lewis Dodgson (voiced by Campbell Scott)". Players will be extracting DNA from amber and using a underground Hyper Loop transportation network to move people back and forth. A new Biosyn Valley map has also been added to the Sandbox mode, along with new buildings, vehicles, and decorations.

If you're into Chaos Theory, you're in luck: a new Chaos Theory level will have players protecting dinosaurs in the Sierra Nevada range. A new dinosaur-wrangling mechanic means that dinosaurs can be corralled quickly without using tranquilizers or a transport team. Players will have a ranch that will be under threat by dinosaur rustlers that will try to steal the dinos they're taking care of, so watch out for that as well.

Accompanying the DLC is Update 3, which is coming to all Jurassic World Evolution 2 players. It'll add Chaos Theory maps in Challenge Mode, Dinosaur Wrangling in all modes, and Park Tour changes. The Park Tour will now function as a transport, letting players connect separate areas of the park and improve their Transport rating. Quality of Life changes that are being added to the update include new contracts, removing building limits on Operation buildings in Sandbox mode, and bug fixes.
