A new Jurassic World Evolution 2 DLC pack has been announced, which has us dino-loving folks at Castle TechRaptor excited. It's called Dominion Malta and it's bringing a new campaign that serves as a prequel to the movie Jurassic World: Dominion, plus new dinos and lots more.

This new expansion follows June's Dominion Biosyn pack, which also added a brand new campaign featuring familiar faces like Claire Dearing and Dr. Alan Grant. This time around, the campaign has you teaming up with characters like Cabot Finch, Kayla Watts, and Soyona Santos as you lead a new dino enterprise across three locations in the Mediterranean.

Of course, the DLC is also adding new dinos, with four species from Dominion being introduced. They are the aggressive Atrociraptor, the herbivorous Lystrosaurus, the scrappy Oviraptor, and the tiny Moros Intrepidus, a tiny Tyrannosauroid that's related to the iconic T. rex.

These four new dinos could soon be living in your park in the new Jurassic World Evolution 2 DLC.

As well as these new dinos, the Allosaurus, Dimorphodon, and Iguanodon are all getting 2022 variants, and the Iguanodon 2022 variant is getting 12 new colors and 7 new patterns. Let it never be said you can't make your Iguanodon the prettiest dino at the ball.

Alongside the Jurassic World Evolution 2 DLC, a free update is also coming for all players, regardless of whether you buy the DLC or not. This update adds new challenge levels, new behaviors for tiny dinosaurs, and new changes to the way the game's UI works. Naturally, you'll also find plenty of quality-of-life changes in the update. You can read a more exhaustive list of the changes right here.

Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Malta launches on December 8th. It'll set you back $19.99 or your local equivalent, and you will, of course, need to have the base game in order to play the DLC (or, indeed, to take advantage of the free update). You can get Evolution 2 on PC and consoles, and it's also available via Game Pass. Luckily, there's a browser extension that tells you whether a game is on Game Pass before you spend the money on the Steam version.
