Today Honkai: Star Rail developer released a new trailer focusing on the next five-star character Blade on top of a new web-based minigame.
We start with the trailer featuring Blade, the upcoming five-star Wind and Destruction character who will launch alongside plenty of new content on July 19 with update 1.2 "Even Immortality Ends."
We get a trailer introducing his backstory, and quite obviously, he has a score to settle with Imbibitor Lunae and Dan Heng. He's also most definitely the game's edgiest character yet.
He's voiced by Daman Mills in English and Shin-ichiro Miki in Japanese. You may know him as Zenkichi Hasegawa in Persona 5 Strikers, Akira Yuki in the Virtua Fighter series, Sanada Yukimura in Nioh, Enoch in El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, and more.
You can check out the trailer below. The Japanese version is available on the official YouTube channel.
We also get the reveal and launch of the new minigame (which HoYoverse has been teasing for a few days) Xianzhou Cruise. It's playable directly in the browser with mobile support and it's basically a Flappy Birds clone.
By playing it you have a chance to win Stellar Jades, an iPhone 14 Pro 256G, a PlayStation 5, and more.
Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based RPG that can be played for free in single-player mode. It's available for PC through a standalone client and the Epic Games Store, as well as on iOS and Android devices. Although the developers have announced that they are working on a PlayStation 5 port, no specific release date has been shared besides "Q4 2023" for now.
