Today HoYoverse fully revealed the upcoming version 2.1 of its popular free-to-play RPG Honkai: Star Rail, on top of the first-anniversary celebration.
The new version will launch on March 27, 2024 and will include three new characters.
The first Event Warp on March 27 will include Acheron (a new five-star lightning character following the path of Nihility), Gallagher (a new four-star fire character following the path of the Abundance), Pela, and Dan Heng. it'll be titled Word of Yore.
A second Event Warp titled "Laic Pursuit" and released at the same time will replace Acheron with Luocha.
The second phase starting on April 10 will include the "Gilded Imprisonment" Event Warp starring Aventurine (a new 5-star Imaginary character following the path of Preservation), Lynx, Luka, and Servant.
Another Event Warp starting at the same time will be titled "Gentle Eclipse of the Moon" and will bring back Jingliu instead of Aventurine.

The update will include new story content, new locations, and even World 9 for the Simulated Universe.
Another exciting piece of news is the game's first-anniversary celebration. Logging into the game for 7 days starting on March 27 will net you 20 Special Passes for your Event Warps, while 1,600 Stellar Jades will be sent to your mailbox.
More special events are also involved, allowing you to win further prizes
As usual with the reveals of a new version of any HoYoverse game, we get some new codes from the livestream to unlock 300 Stellar Jades and other goodies.

If you're unfamiliar with Honkai: Star Rail, it's a free-to-play game available for PC, PS5, iOS, and Android, and we recently learned that it has achieved a massive 100 million downloads.
Before the new version arrives, you're still in time to roll for the second new five-star character of version 2.0, Sparkle, while we already know two new characters coming in version 2.2, Robin and Boothill.
