Version 4.0 of Genshin Impact is coming today, and HoYoverse is celebrating the release of five-star character Lyney.
We get a full-fledged deep dive into his ability as a pyro character, albeit for now, we don't get the same treatment for his sister Lynette.
She'll be released within the same event wish (Genshin's version of a gacha banner), but her trailer is likely coming tomorrow if HoYoverse sticks to its usual modus operandi.
In the meanwhile, you can check out Lyney below. You can also watch his introduction trailer from a few days ago.
Incidentally, he's voiced in English by Daman Mills, while the Japanese track features the voice of Hiro Shimono, whom you may know as Rex in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. A Nintendo Switch version has been announced a while ago, but HoYoverse hasn't said a word about it as of late.
With the release of version 4.0, we can look forward to the second phase which will bring forth another new character named Freminet with the second phase of the update.
We also saw two more characters introduced yesterday, Neuvillette & Wriothesley, who will likely come with 4.1 in a month or so. We'll likely get confirmation of that soon enough. In the meanwhile, we wish you luck with the new event wish if you're trying to get Lyney and Lynette.
