With a new update coming, Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse has started the traditional cycle of new trailers introducing the next five-star character.
The new character is Chiori and her event wish, titled "Of Silken Clouds Woven," will come with Version 4.5 "Blades Weaving Betwixt Brocade" on March 13, 2024.
She's a Geo character and she hails from Inazuma, even if she lives in Fontaine, which is the current setting of the story.
She's the owner of the store Chioriya Boutique in Fontaine, and let's just say that she doesn't care to beat around the bush, as you can see in the trailer below featuring her English voice actress Brittany Lauda.
Her Japanese voice is Ayana Taketatsu, known for her role as Leafa in Sword Art Online, Nuwa in Shin Megami Tensei V, Jessica in the Dragon Quest series, and many more popular roles. You can find the Japanese trailer featuring her voice on the official YouTube channel.
As usual for the first trailer, this is an introduction to the character and doesn't show any gameplay.
Updae 3/13/2024: Update 4.5 has been released, and a new trailer featuring Chiori's gameplay has been released. You can watch it below.
Genshin Impact is currently available for PS5, PS4, PC, iOS, and Android. Since it's free-to-play no initial purchase is necessary to enjoy the game, albeit there is plenty of room for partaking in microtransactions.
