HoYoverse has announced the Genshin Impact version 4.6 release date, as well as giving us a look at some of the new content the update will bring.
Launching on April 24th, version 4.6 brings a whole new underwater area to explore in Remuria, a kingdom whose ruins lie beneath Fontaine. A new boss awaits you there, as well as many other discoveries.
Rather intriguingly, Genshin Impact version 4.6's new character Arlecchino will join as both an ally and an adversary. As a playable character, she's a 5-star Pyro polearm user, and as an enemy, she's a formidable Weekly Boss.
Arlecchino's Bond of Life mechanic works both when she's teamed up with you and when you're facing her. When she's your ally, it enhances her attack power and Pyro damage, and when she's your enemy, Bond of Life causes you to take more damage and staunches your healing.
If you want to get rid of the Bond of Life, you'll have to keep healing to outpace it, which will also get rid of Arlecchino's Blood Debt Directive and enhance your Charge Attacks against her. You'll need to be Adventure Rank 40 or above to take her on.
She'll join as part of the first half of version 4.6, alongside a rerun for Lyney. In the second half of version 4.6, you can look forward to reruns for Wanderer and Baizhu.
Genshin Impact version 4.6 will also bring a new rhythm game event. It revolves around helping Itto to prepare for a rockin' music festival, and it lets you create and edit your own rhythm challenges, then share them with friends via codes. If you fancy yourself a musical prodigy, this is the update for you.
