Disgaea 7

Today Nippon Ichi Software released another character trailer of the upcoming strategy JRPG Makai Senki Disgaea 7.

The trailer focuses on Suisen (which in Japanese means Narcissus), another of the main characters of the game. He's voiced by Maki Kawase, who previously lent her voice to Reina Miyauchi in Blue Reflection Second Light and William G. Maryblood in The Faraway Paladin.

He's a boy with a mecha body holding the title of "Prophecy Official," one of the most important roles in the Shogunate. He may look young, but he's highly skilled in combat as he fights using the power of his cybernetic body. He also uses his processing capabilities to predict the future.

Usually, his tone of voice is cold and robotic, but at times he slips and speaks in a youthful manner, more appropriate to his looks.

You can check him out in the trailer below. if you want to see more, you can also check out another video focusing on Fuji, one on Piririka, one on Wei-Yasu, and one on Seefour

Disgaea 7 (Titled "Makai Senki Disgaea 7" in Japanese) is the latest game of the popular franchise of over-the-top strategy JRPGs Disgaea. It'll launch in Japan for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on January 26, 2023. A demo in Japanese is currently available on local digital stores if you'd like to try it out.

Despite the fact that the Japanese release is coming close, we don't yet have any information about an English localization. That being said, it's extremely likely that NIS America (which is the western arm of Nippon Ichi Software itself) will bring it to the west at some point relatively soon.

The game is set in a netherworld inspired by feudal Japan where Bushido has been stolen. Fuji and Piririka travel the land in search of legendary weapons to restore the status quo, joined by a band of peculiar companions. The game includes the traditional gameplay of the series and enhances it with even more destructive techniques, including the ability to turn into giants and wreak havoc on the battlefield.
