NIS America has announced the Disgaea 7 release date. The offbeat strategy RPG is heading to PC and consoles on October 3rd, and to mark the occasion, a new story trailer has also been released to give you a look at what you can expect from Fuji's journey.
Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless tells the story of Fuji, a lone samurai who finds himself tied up with a young bushido fangirl by the name of Pirilika. Together, the pair set out to free the land of Hinomoto from its tyrannical overlord, and to do so, they must gather seven legendary weapons. Here's the new story trailer for Disgaea 7.
If you've played a Disgaea game before, you'll know roughly what to expect from Disgaea 7: colossal amounts of SRPG content, lots of customization options and character classes, and a quirky world suffused with comedy and irreverence. You won't find much of Fire Emblem's earnestness here.
Specifically, Disgaea 7 will give you the chance to experiment with more than 40 character classes, ranging from fairly standard (Bandit) through to more unusual options (Zombie Maiden, anyone?). For the first time in the franchise's history, you can also take your strategy skills online in AI-based ranked battles, which use a system that "creates optimal strategies based on your opponents' movement patterns and the characteristics of the stage", according to the PlayStation Blog. Naturally, there will be a ton of other systems to get to grips with, so if you love Disgaea, the seventh installment is shaping up to be another must-play.
Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless arrives in North America on October 3rd and in Europe on October 6th. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more info about this and all other things NIS America.
