Today Nippon Ichi Software released a brand new trailer of the upcoming strategy JRPG Makai Senki Disgaea 7.
The trailer focuses on Seefour, one of the playable characters that we'll be able to bring along in the turn-based battles of the game. She's voiced by Rina Kitagawa, whom you likely know for playing Lunafreya Nox Fleuret in Final Fantasy XV. I'm fairly sure that her name is a play on words reading like "C4" in reference to her rather explosive personality and interests.
She's defined both as a famous thief and as a "Mouse Girl" who has made a name for herself in the netherworld, and she's an explosives otaku who changes personality when she smells gunpowder or sees weapons. As a matter of fact, she suffers from withdrawals when she can't sniff some good old gunpowder. Apparently, she's collecting divine artifacts to conduct some sort of research.
You can check him out in the trailer below. if you want to see more, you can also check out another video focusing on Fuji, one on Piririka, and one on Wei-Yasu.
Disgaea 7 (Titled "Makai Senki Disgaea 7" in Japanese) is the latest game of the popular franchise of over-the-top strategy JRPGs Disgaea. It'll launch in Japan for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on January 26, 2023. A demo in Japanese is currently available on local digital stores if you'd like to try it out.
Despite the fact that the Japanese release is coming close, we don't yet have news about an English localization. Still, it'd be surprising if NIS America (which is the western arm of Nippon Ichi Software itself) didn't bring this west at some point relatively soon.
The game is set in a netherworld inspired by feudal Japan where Bushido has been stolen. Fuji and Piririka travel the land in search of legendary weapons to restore the status quo, joined by a band of peculiar companions. The game includes the traditional gameplay of the series and enhances it with even more destructive techniques, including the ability to turn into giants and wreak havoc on the battlefield.
