Today Nippon Ichi Software released one more character trailer of the upcoming strategy JRPG Makai Senki Disgaea 7.
This time around, the video focuses on Higan Zesshosai, a woman who inherited the Zessosai, the symbol of the strongest swordsman in the netherworld. She used to be Fuji's master and taught him swordsmanship. She actually moved on to master the spear, as she's simply too strong to fight with a sword.
She is voiced by Yui Kondo, the voice of Karen Shinomiya in The [email protected] Million Live, Tao in the Atelier Ryza series, Kuon Glamred Stroheim in XBlaze – Code: Embryo, Minayle in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, and Sayaka Nishizono in Lost Judgement.
You can check her out in action in the trailer below. if you want to see more, you can also check out another video focusing on Fuji, one on Piririka, one on Wei-Yasu, one on Seefour, one on Suisen, and one on Ao.
Disgaea 7 (Titled "Makai Senki Disgaea 7" in Japanese) is the latest game of the popular franchise of over-the-top strategy JRPGs Disgaea. It'll launch in Japan for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on January 26, 2023. A demo in Japanese is currently available on local digital stores if you'd like to try it out. Nippon Ichi has also revealed a rather expensive series of DLC that will provide access to characters from older games of the franchise.
Despite the fact that the Japanese release is coming close, we don't yet have any information about an English localization. That being said, it's extremely likely that NIS America (which is the western arm of Nippon Ichi Software itself) will bring it stateside at some point relatively soon.
Disgaea 7 is set in a netherworld inspired by feudal Japan where Bushido has been stolen. Fuji and Piririka travel the land in search of legendary weapons to restore the status quo, joined by a band of peculiar companions. The game includes the traditional gameplay of the series and enhances it with even more destructive techniques, including the ability to turn into giants and wreak havoc on the battlefield.
