Retreat to Enen Building Guide - cover

This Retreat to Enen Building Guide will tell you how Building Works and how to unlock more Buildings in Retreat to Enen!

How Retreat to Enen Building Works

Retreat to Enen Building is fairly straightforward. All you need to do is open up the menu, select the Building piece you would like to place down, and left-click to build it.

Building begins by placing a foundation. From there, you can attach walls to it. Then, roofs can be attached to the walls.

Unfortunately, the Building system is a bit wonky when it comes to roofs -- there's no way to have connected roofs for footprints larger than 2 blocks wide. If you want to have a larger building, it would be best to build a second floor and create a "tiered" structure, sort of like a pagoda.

How to Unlock Retreat to Enen Building

You can unlock Retreat to Enen Building by Meditating at the first Ruins -- check out our Retreat to Enen Walkthrough and Story Guide to learn how to find it!

Best Way to Build in Retreat to Enen

Best Way to Build in Retreat to Enen

The best way to build in Retreat to Enen is to keep your buildings 2 blocks wide. Trying to go for anything larger will be a challenge since roofs will not snap to one another.

Unfortunately, it's not really possible to build a good-looking building that is wider than 2 blocks. You could easily make a 2x10 building, but even something relatively small like a 3x3 footprint will prove to be a challenge.

Mind, buildings larger than 2 blocks wide will function just fine -- they just won't look very good. That said, you can experiment by building a second floor and trying out different designs to see if you can find something you'll like.
