Retreat to Enen Crafting and Unlocks Guide - cover

Our Retreat to Enen Crafting and Unlocks Guide will tell you how Crafting works, Crafting costs, and how to unlock more items in Retreat to Enen!

How Retreat to Enen Crafting Works

Retreat to Enen Crafting is exclusively done through your menu -- you won't need any workbenches or anything like that. However, you won't have access to very many recipes at the beginning of the game.

How to Unlock More Retreat to Enen Crafting Recipes

You can unlock more Crafting recipes in Retreat to Enen by Meditating at Ruins. Check out our Retreat to Enen Walkthrough and Story Guide to discover how to find all 9 Ruins in the game!

Retreat to Enen Crafting and Unlocks Guide - Enen Ruins 1

Enen Ruins 1 Crafting Recipes and Unlocks

Meditating at the first Ruins will unlock several useful items, including the tools you need for Farming and Hunting.

Flag

  • Menu - Survival
  • Cost - 1 Enen Flower, 2 Dead Plant Fiber, 1 Wood

These can be used to mark paths.

Water Flask

  • Menu - Survival
  • Cost - 1 Cured Pelt, 2 Dead Plant Fiber, 1 Rock, 2 GemStone

This gives you four charges that can fully restore your Thirst meter. Sadly, it can only be filled at a Raincatcher.

Planter

  • Menu - Survival
  • Cost - 1 GemStone, 4 Dead Plant Fiber, 4 Wood

This is used to grow  crops with Farming.

Tonic Bottle

  • Menu - Survival
  • Cost - 2 GemStone, 1 Dead Plant Fiber

These are used to store Antiseptic, Antivenom, and Spirit Tonic and take them with you on the go.

Hammock

  • Menu - Survival
  • Cost - 4 Cured Pelt, 6 Dead Plant Fiber, 8 Wood

This is your first proper bed that can be placed indoors.

Smoker

  • Menu - Survival
  • Cost - 6 Rock, 2 Wood, 10 Clay

This allows you to smoke Meat, a key strategy for Cooking food that won't easily rot.

Furnace

  • Menu - Survival
  • Cost - 4 Wood, 6 Rock, 10 Clay

This is effectively a Fire Pit for indoor use. Unfortunately, it can't fit a Cooking Pot. You can, however, still Cook Meat on it directly like you could with a Fire Pit that doesn't have a Cooking Pot.

Basket

  • Menu - Survival
  • Cost - 2 Dead Plant Fiber, 4 Wood

This is your first true form of storage -- drop items inside of the basket to keep them from rolling away.

Bow

  • Menu - Hunting
  • Cost - 2 GemStone, 4 Dead Plant Fiber, 2 Wood

This is a better tool for Hunting animals at range and is best used for dealing with more dangerous creatures like Wolves and Bears.

Arrow

  • Menu - Hunting
  • Cost - 1 Feather, 1 Rock, 1 Wood

Pelt Drying Rack

  • Menu - Hunting
  • Cost - 4 Dead Plant Fiber, 6 Wood

Animals you've Hunted will drop Pelts -- you'll need one of these to turn them into Cured Pelts.

Retreat to Enen Crafting and Unlocks Guide - Enen Ruins 2

Completing the second Ruins will give you access to the Head Lamp, a key piece of equipment that effectively serves as a flashlight.

Head Lamp

  • Menu - Survival
  • Cost - 2 Oyster Shell, 1 Cured Pelt, 1 GemStone

The Head Lamp lights up the area in front of you. It never runs out of power.

Fish Net

  • Menu - Hunting
  • Cost - 4 Wood, 8 GemStone, 12 Dead Plant Fiber

These can somehow be used to catch Fish, but I've never had them work for me. It's easier to go Hunting and poke them with a Spear instead.

Crab Pot

  • Menu - Hunting
  • Cost - 1 Rotten Meat, 4 Dead Plant Fiber, 10 Wood

These can catch Crabs once properly baited. A Crab Pot is automatically baited once placed for the first time, but you'll have to replace the bait after a Crab is caught.
