Our Lightyear Frontier Mech Upgrades Guide will tell you how to upgrade your Mech and how to customize its parts to get a new look!

You'll have most of your adventures in Lightyear Frontier seated comfortably in the cockpit of your mech, whether you're hunting for Artifacts or gathering new materials for crafting. In this guide, we'll tell you what you need to know about upgrading your Mech!

How to Upgrade Your Mech

To upgrade your Mech, you'll first have to build an Upgrade Depot for 24 Stone, 4 Aluminum Rod, and 4 Aluminum Frame. This will allow you to dock your Mech and apply Upgrades.

Once your Mech is docked, you'll need to walk over to the console in the Upgrade Depot. From there, you can pay for Mech Upgrades or change your Mech Parts.

How to Change Mech Parts

You can change Mech Parts by docking your Mech with the Upgrade Depot. You must then click on the "Mech Customization" tab at the top of the interface. From there, you can spawn in additional Mech parts that you've purchased from the Merchant.

The new parts will spawn in on the ground. You must then use right-click to remove a part from your Mech, pick up the new part with right-click, and then replace it. Any of the leftover parts on the ground will despawn when you get back into your Mech.
