Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Sand Land, the upcoming action RPG based on Akira Toriyama's manga, and it features a very special song indeed.

If you're a fan of 2000s dance music, or even if you grew up during that era, you almost certainly haven't been able to escape Darude's "Sandstorm". If you don't know it by name, you'll know it by the five iconic notes that begin its famous riff.

That's the song which soundtracks the latest Sand Land trailer, and while the trailer is pretty much just an overview of Sand Land and what it'll offer to players, it's still nice to hear Darude's song being used for dramatic effect.

Hey, don't judge me, Beelzebub. I didn't put the song in the trailer.

Since "Sandstorm" is a pretty upbeat song, the new Sand Land trailer focuses mainly on action, with quieter character moments kept to a minimum.

As you'd probably expect from a major production like this, the trailer is well-edited, too, with key moments kicking in as "Sandstorm" crescendos and the action dying down as the song finishes (although it's obviously been edited to match a shorter trailer).

You can check out the new Sand Land "Sandstorm" trailer right here. It should give you a nice nostalgia kick if you're a Darude fan, and if not, well, you can always watch it on mute.

Sand Land is an action RPG based on the manga of the same name by Akira Toriyama, who sadly passed away in March this year. An anime, also based on the manga, began airing earlier this year as well.

The game's story revolves around the Fiend Prince Beelzebub, who must explore a vast desert world in order to find a fabled oasis and put an end to a water drought.

You'll be able to check out Sand Land when it launches on April 26th across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. A demo is also available for the game right now if you want to see whether it's up your street or not.
