Every new trailer of the upcoming action-adventure RPG Palworld that gets released by developer Poketpair shows once more that it's the perfect game for people who harbor a violent grudge against Pokemon.
If previous trailers did not prove that to you, today's certainly will, as it's all about taking a shotgun to the face of the Gobfin, defined as "a marine hyena that ventured to the surface in order to find food."
Quite obviously, it isn't pretty, at least not in a metaphorical sense. On top of the shotgun action, we get to see another mewling Pal used literally as a grenade. That's pretty brutal.
Yet, once captured, the Gobfin appear quite content to be petted and comforted, only to be put to work at your base, as you can see in the trailer below.
Nothing says "I love you, my dear Pokemon" like shooting them, exploding them, and then giving them a few pets before forced labor ensues. If you're a Pokemon fan and this doesn't traumatized you, you likely don't have a heart.
Palworld will launch in early accession PC via Steam in January 2024. If you'd like to see more, you can check out another trailer released yesterday, one more, an older one, and one featuring Anubis, and a particularly unholy one focusing on Dinossom.
